This site serves as home to both the Brevard County Road & Bridge Department and the Transportation Engineering Department. Between these two Departments, Brevard County employs more than 250 people.

Road & Bridge administers the maintenance of all County roadways, drainage structures, ditches and canals, and the design, installation and maintenance of landscaping projects on County roads and facilities. In addition, the Department includes a construction program, the Municipal Service Benefit Unit (MSBU) area, and a Regulatory section that oversees, permits and inspects activities within the County rights-of-way. The Customer Service area provides Citizens support and referrals. Ed Gardulski is Assistant Director of this Department.

The Transportation Engineering Department administers the design; construction and maintenance of transportation improvement projects funded through gas tax and locally collected impact fees. Traffic Engineering, which is included in this Department, oversees all signage, signalization and striping. The Department includes the Flood Zone, Survey and Map Reproduction functions, and the County's Vacating and Land Acquisition sections. John Denninghoff, PE, is the Director of this Department.
