Prior to his employment with Brevard County in 1983, Eric served in the United States Army as a Combat Engineer, and within the private sector as an underground, utility contractor. In 1983, he was hired as an inspector for Brevard County Engineering. In 1985, his skill and experience earned him a promotion to Lead Inspector. In 1992, he was again promoted to Chief Inspector. His knowledge of the County, as well as his engineering and technical skills, was paramount to his selection as Manager (1995) for the Central Area, which, at the time, included the unincorporated areas of Cocoa, Rockledge, Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach, as well as all of Merritt Island. In May of 2006, Eric was transferred to the North Area Maintenance Sector. Shortly thereafter, the maintenance sectors were realigned and the North/Central Mainland Maintenance Sector, where Eric continues to serve, was established.
